A number of photos of the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 have appeared on the Web, however, we might want to wait for Sony Ericsson to actually announce the Xperia X1 successor before we rush into things.

Anyway, rumors have multiplied in the last weeks about the new Xperia X2 and now it appears that images have also been made available. Not from official sources, but, as usual, people manage to get information about the real thing.

It appears that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 features an 8 megapixel camera which can be considered an improvement as the X1 had only a 3.2 megapixel camera. The phone also features an optical trackpad and might run Windows Mobile 6.5.

For the time being, this is pretty much the only information available. The X2 might be announced soon but remember it took more than 9 months before the X1 was available after its unveiling.
