Vodafone UK is on the hunt for the cleverest Android application, and they want your creative ideas. The winner will receive £1,000 cash and a HTC Magic. Ten runners up will receive the HTC Magic handset as well. Entries close on September 20th 2009.

So, what makes a good app? The trick is to make things easy for the user, usually by linking up a few of the phone's functions. You might want to create an app that links images, footage and songs to specific friends. You might want to make use of the HTC Magic's GPS capabilities by tracking your contacts so you know who's in the area for a beer.
