Ericcson forged in the past a phone capable of downloading with up to 100 Mbps and upload with 50 Mbps. Today they announced that the M700 is also available for the masses. By doing this Ericcson smashed the competition giving them a step forward against their competitors, Nokia and Alcatel.
The M700 runs on a similar platform as 3G, but permits a high speed download and upload. Rumor has it that the Swedish company already signed a contract with the Italian media service provider Sky. Italian newspapers point out that the use of M700 can increase the possibility of users to be able to watch TV on mobile phones as well as record an event.
M700 can be used to offer broadband services to a wide range of devices as mobile phones, laptops and eve HD television set. Yes, very interesting indeed. You might this this service will have a huge success, but I am a little skeptic. We should stay back and see what the future brings, speculation may be impropriate.
