Recently, the mobile company TeliaSonera launched its 4G network in Oslo and Stockholm, based around the Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology.

Availability of the fourth generation network is expected around the first half of 2010, where connectivity is believed to be accessible by means of a laptop and a dongle made by Samsung.

Stockholm will get the facility through Sony Ericsson's equipments while Huawei will assist for the same thing in Norway, so that the downlink data speeds of 100 megabits per second can be enjoyed thoroughly.

With the commencement of the 4G networks, the 3G networks seem to fade all its glory soon as the more advance form promises to deliver almost ten times speed.

No doubt when such high profile projection is already on its way, the already existing technologies and networks like 3G will have to upgrade and match the pace, just to be in the market.

Well the cost incurred hasn't been made official yet, but the 4G network is all set to woo the said cities with bountiful applications likes games and better viewing of videos.
