AT&T to launch its first Android phone? Saveri | , 12:19 बजे Dec. 19, 2009 2009-12-19

Rumors of AT&T's first Google based Android phone are spreading like wild fire, where the unofficial images of a new Motorola handset has been out. The introduction of Motorola Backflip (also called as Motorola Enzo) will mark the beginning of AT&T's network of Android phones.

Supposedly nicknamed as the Motorola Backflip, the name sounds quite weird because of its unique form factor.

Similar to CLIQ™, (available on T-Mobile) Motorola's first Android-based handset Backflip is expected to run on Android 1.5 version that will support the company's trademark social networking layer, MOTOBLUR. However, the Google applications will be missing except for maps.

The images leaked show the handset with a full QWERTY keyboard and a touch screen, but the surprise lies in its slider form. The QWERTY slider does not slide under the screen, but folds backward covering flipside cover of the phone when not in use.

The unusual folding to the rear does not hinder the position of the 5MP camera which is located at the bottom left corner of the keyboard. You can still click photos with the keyboard folded over.

There is a touch pad on the rear of the keyboard for scrolling when the phone is open.

Just check the specifications of the upcoming Motorola Backflip below:

-    3.1 inch display
-    320 x 480 px resolution
-    512MB ROM, 256MB RAM memory
-    a 528MHz processor
-    Android 1.5 OS
-    Wi-Fi
-    GPS
