Rumors have it that the upcoming Sony Ericsson mobile phone to sport Google’s Android operating system, the so-called Rachael, was to come to the market as the Xperia X3. We have now learned that the device has been confirmed, although Sony Ericsson did not officially announce it yet. The handset is available for purchase on Expansys, meaning the phone will become official in the next days.

The Xperia X3 will come with an 8 megapixel camera with LED Flash, Auto Focus, 8x digital zoom, Smile Shutter, Image Stabilization, Face Detection and Video recording capabilities as well as a 4 inch touch display capable of boosting 800 x 400 pixel resolution.

The handset comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900MHz), (10Mbps), HSUPA (2Mbps) and 3G (900/2100MHz) connectivity support. Additionally it sports e-mail, video support for MMS, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi connectivity and GPS receiver with A-GPS. Additionally, the handset comes with a 3.5 mm headset jack and a microSDHC memory card slot for additional storage space.

The handset is currently listed for pre-order on the Expansys website, however no price or availability date have been announce, which might seem a little odd.
