Orange UK will release a series of own-branded mobile phones, the Orange Lisbon and the Orange Rio. The later will probably become available in two color versions, black and pink. The phones, however, will not have a pre-loaded operating system.
The Orange Lisbon offers 3 hours of talk time and up to 6 days of standby tine. The phone measures 93 x 49 x 13.5 mm and weights no more than 80g. The handset comes with a modest 1.3 megapixel camera fixed in the rear, 10MB of internal memory and microSD memory card slot for additional storage space. “Don’t forget your music – check out the sound of the MP3 player or tune into the FM radio,” Orange writes on its website.
The other phone, the Orange Rio, offers 8 hours of talk time and measures 107 x 61 x 12 mm and weights about 95g. The phone comes with a QWERTY keyboard, 6MB of internal memory support for microSD memory cards of up to 16GB. The phone comes with FM radio, MP3 player, video messaging, and incorporates a 2 megapixel camera located in the back of the phone.
The two phones are placed on the carrier's website with the “Coming soon”status. Pricing information is also not available.
