Today Nokia announced the opening of a new research lablet on the Otaneimi campus of Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. Their studies will focus on improving communication technologies, new uses of radio and internet connections, user interaction and applications of nanotechnology, according to a recent Nokia press release.
Some Helsinki University of Technology laboratories will serve as workplaces for the Nokia Research Lablet Otaniemi. Thus, university researchers will work hand in hand with Nokia specialists and will share the same facilities, informs the Finnish company.
Testing new applications will also be performed at the Otaniemi campus by selecting a group of users, says the press release.
