LG’s upcoming release for the North American mobile phone market is the BL40. The handset successfully passed the Federal Communication Commission’s inspection and will soon be made available to users.
The handset comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, FM transmitter and 1000mAH Li-Ion battery. Unfortunatelly, testing was limited to GSM 850/1900 and the device is referred to as a GSM/EDGE phone, writes Engadget. This basically means that the phone does not have 3G support.
However, the handset may get 3G after all as it will be enabled when the LG BL40 launches on Telus’ new HSDPA network in Canada.
