Research in Motion has announced plans to release a series of new handsets in the near future. Now we have solid proof that these plans will materialize as photos of two upcoming handsets have surfaced on the web.
The two handsets are the BlackBerry Onyx 9020 and the BlackBerry Gemini. The first is expected to be available as the successor of the BlackBerry Bold. However there is no information regarding the phone’s availability. The handset comes with a display capable of offering 480 x 360 pixel resolution, optical trackpad, 3G, WiFi and also has a GPS receiver.
Gemini comes with WiFi connectivity, EDGE data capabilities, QVGA display with 320 x 240 resolution and a QWERTY keyboard. The handset is expected to run under the US 5.0 platform from Research in Motion.
A third handset that is expected to become available in the near future is the Magnum. The handset comes with a display capable of offering 480 x 320 pixels, 3G and a full QWERTY keyboard. The handset might become available at Rogers, though it sill has to become official.
