The HTC Magic is finally out and it comes for free in the UK with a two year contract agreement with Vodafone. The handset is exclusive in the UK to Vodafone so at the moment you won’t find it anywhere else.

HTC Magic comes for free if you opt for a two year contract agreement at 35 GBP per month, this includes unlimited mobile internet use, 600 minutes and unlimited texts. The pone will come with a 2GB memory card. If you pre-order the service online before 1 May, you can get the 35 GBP per month service for 30 GBP.

To mark the availability Vodafone is launching a national treasure hunt to win one of 20 HTC Magic phones during May. Anyone who would like the chance to win should follow Vodafone on Twitter www.twitter.com/vodafoneUK and pick up clues as to where they will find an HTC Magic. In March Vodafone announced that its customers can receive free text messages from people they choose to follow via SMS on Twitter and send text messages to a short code (86444) for their "tweets", @replies, or to follow someone on the go.

The HTC Magic comes with a 3.2 inch QVGA touchscreen display with accelerometer to change from portrait to landscape view. Additional features include: 500MB internal memory with capacity for a 8GB external memory, removable batter and supports quadband GSM, dual band UMTS, HSDPA/HSUPA, WiFi, GPS and a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities.
