The specs for a yet unannounced BlackBerry phone have been unveiled by BoyGeniusReport.com. The handset appears to be promising and let’s hope official information will be available in the near future to confirm the details enumerated below.

Until official information is available, we can cite the “report” by BGR on the upcoming BlackBerry device. According to the publication, the BlackBerry 9700 is a quad-band phone.

The handset comes with a 480 x 360 resolution display, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, WiFi, HSDPA connectivity, QWERTY keyboard and Bluetooth connectivity support.

Know Your Mobile writes that “the handset's proffered vitals do sound awfully similar to those of the 9020, AKA the Onyx; so perhaps it is simply a decision to change the model number of the 9020 to 9700 for launch.”
