The Motorola Milestone is, as of today (March 2), available at Carphone Warehouse. Europe’s first Android 2.0 handset may be obtained on 12, 18 and 24 month contract agreements.

According to reports, the Milestone sold out incredibly fast when it was released as SIM-free on online retailer Expansys. The phone is still available on Expansys.com for 379.99 pounds SIM-free, or for 49.99 pounds on a T-Mobile 18-month contract of 35 pounds.

The handset announced in November last year comes with TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16 million colors and a 3.7 inch display offering a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. It also incorporates 3G access, HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps, HSUPA at 5.76 Mbps, WiFi, EDGE and GPRS, and, of course, Bluetooth 2.1.

The Motorola Milestone is powered by an ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz processor and offers up to 6 hours and 30 minutes talktime and about 350 hours standby. It comes with a 5 MP camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash.

The handset’s OS has been recently updated to Android 2.0.1 with an upcoming update to 2.1 expected in Q2. Also, the phone is Flash 10 ready and an upgrade of the web browser is espected in Q2 as well.
