Nuvio has sued the company Garmin for its phone Nuvifone. Nuvio, an internet provider in US has stated that the name Nuvifone has been trademarked by their company and that Garmin is violating trademark laws. Nuvio has argued that their users will get confused with the name Nuvifone as the customers are used to recognize the name with their internet service. They might think that the product if from their company. Nuvio is asking for damages for past violation and banning Garmin from using the name.."Nuvifone".
