A recent report frim iSuppli has revealed that Research in Motion and Apple have shipped more phones globally than Motorola in the first quarter of 2010. Research in Motion leads while the number of mobile shipped between Apple and Motorola varies slightly.
According to the report, RIM has shipped in the first quarter of 2010 over 10.46 million phones globally. This means a 34.6 percent growth for the company. Apple has shipped no less than 8.7 million units, meaning a 130.7 percent growth since last year.
Motorola, on the other hand, has shipped just 8.5 million phones, down 12 million it shipped in Q4 of 2009.
Research in Motion is doing rather well as it got a hold on more mobile phone market percentage. The company is now sharing the 5th place with Sony Ericsson with each having a 3.6 percent hold on the market. Nokia is still leading with 37.4 percent, followed by Samsung with 22.3 percent and LF with 9.4 percent.
