The Symbian 4 UI has put forward more advancement as compared to the previous editions of the operating system. The new version of the said OS is expected to come up with a simplified UI and support for multi-touch support. It features a semi-transparent menu, user Interface concept protocol with transformed layouts, enhanced task switcher, revamped settings with power menus and atypical home screen widgets in addition.

The changed form of the layouts will constitute the title bar region, application title menu with drop-down element and a back button with a facility wherein the title bar and the bottom menu bar can be set to auto-hide at known intervals.

A situation where the earlier versions of the operating systems i.e. Symbian 2 and 3 are expected in early half of this year, the more advance Symbian 4 might not enter the cell phone world before the early 2011.
