According to reports, Tales of Monkey Island will be released in the next few days for PC and Secret of Monkey Island will be available for the Xbox and rumors say that in the near future the game might be also made available for the iPhone.

The game is an all-time classic and it is surprising to find out that there isn’t an iPhone version of it. Anyway, LucasArts CEO Darrell Rodriguez vaguely said something about Monkey Island – perhaps it’s a matter of hermeneutics.

“On iPhone, you know Apple's policy that we can't talk about a release until it's ready to release,” he stated. “But it would make sense that we would do something like that if we were to go in that direction… wink wink, nod nod.”

At least, the guys at Mobile Entertainment think that due to the doubble release of Monkey Island, it is perhaps time for an iPhone version.
